It’s Ron Lewis. I just wanted to give you a quick update on the James Bond pinball. It has never played better than it does now. Troy and I are really enjoying it. Thank You for a first class refurbishment. My neighbor even came over to play a few games and was amazed at its condition.

Thank you for a smooth game purchase and being helpful with same having to drive from NJ to CT to pick up this game. We are playing it everyday and all is well. This machine is exactly as I remember it! Have been looking for this game for many years! Now I have one! I am pleased. My son and I have had a number of playing competitions so far, my 75 year old Mom played it with the kids on the weekend and this Sat I have friends coming over and am sure we will have 4 player competitions!

Eric recently spent an entire day at my house fixing a range of games:
Megatouch Force 2004 (Upgraded to 2006.5 & Repair), Data East Simpsons Pinball, Bank Shot Pinball, Twilight Zone Pinball & Monopoly Pinball. I was most impressed with how prepared he came and the amount of different parts he had for the variety of games that I needed repaired. I was also very pleased with how fast he went through each game and found things that needed repairing that I wasn’t even aware of.  All the games he worked on are 100% running great again, there is nothing like playing pinball when the game is working 100%. His knowledge of the different types of machine was great too since I have a Gottlieb Bank Shot Pinball Machine from the 1970’s, newer pinballs from the 90’s and 2000’s. I will continue to use Eric for any needed repairs, and I would HIGHLY recommend Eric if you have any problems.

Eric – Thanks again for a wonderful job on all the machines, I would also like to thank you again for staying as long as I needed to get the games working for me! Keep up the great work and it was a pleasure doing business with you.

I just wanted to say “Thank You!” to Eric for all his hard work with fixing my Demolition Man machine. Eric worked tirelessly to troubleshoot the few (but irritating!) errors that were inhibiting the pinball from working properly. To obtain special parts needed during the process, he needed to make an additional third trip to obtain another need part in order to get the machine up and running properly. Great guy and fabulous service! I highly recommend him, and wish I knew more people who owned pinball machines just to give him the additional business!

Many Thanks! The machine is so nice now! Although I have not had time yet to really play it much. It will take time to get “the rust” off my past game playing abilities! I forgot how difficult a game it is (but that is what makes it fun and challenging). I get the sense you have pride in what you do, and I very much appreciate that. Eric, I can’t thank you enough. My 10 year old was almost in tears of joy to find out that mystery game in the corner was working and the pinball machine was back in order. I really appreciate how prepared you were and how thorough. I am sure we have many hours of fun ahead of us.

Thank you again for coming out Saturday to fix my Cue Ball Wizard pin, I am happy to report it is still working fine 🙂  Your expertise and persistence with all the problems the game had, is reallyappreciated!

I have used Home Arcade Repair Services for quite a few months now.  I have 2 classic pinballs, a couple of classic stand up and several cocktail cabinet video games.   Eric has always been responsive and helpful for my needs.  He’s been doing this for many years, and it definetely shows!

The games that I have are manufactured primarily between 1978 and about the mid 1980’s.    (Bally 1980 Flash Gordon pin, Early Stern 1980 Flight 2000, Defender, Space Invaders, Dig Dug, Frenzy, etc.) Unfortunately, most electronic components were never designed to last 30 years, and video games and pinballs from this era are no exception, there are certain components on these classic games that simply wear out over time whether they’re used or not.

I do computer maintenance for a living, and while I don’t work on arcade equipment for a living – I really can’t think of too many people these days who use computers/typewriters, or watch TV’s made in 1980’s either. It’s really becoming a lost art!
The only reason why my machines run so well today is because of Eric’s services.  He has clearly forgotten more about these games than I will simply ever know.  He was fixing these games when they were released, and is frankly one of a few stewards left who really understands the ins and outs of these products.

Eric can work on BOTH era designed games styles, interacting with score displays, power supplies, etc in many cases.   These games do break, either from use and/or neglect. Either way they do break, it is just what they do, and they do require TLC with there use..   Eric solved several contact issues with my Flash Gordon within the first few minutes of looking at it at my home, and works considerably better than before.

Arcade video games for some reason, really have less support than pinball in terms of parts.  Arcade games used to have standard resolution CRT monitors, powered by 5 and 12V power supplies, and in the case of my games…8 and early 16 bit processors.   Most of this hardware is made any longer.   Eric clearly has helped be proactive to ensure that these systems may very will live on and they’ve never looked or worked better.
I live in Rockland County, NY and I travel to West Redding, CT to engage Eric’s services, dropping off my classic video game collection games, one/two machines at a time for him to throughly go through, over the past year.  I’ve been in the technology business for over 25 years.   There aren’t too many people who approach his skill level, and the ones that do…have largely retired!

Dan, I thank you for the VERY kind words…With all that you have said to promote my experience and my caring of these now classic games, it is not getting any easier as most of the machines I do get to do service on are now over 3 decades old! Many owners of these games just do not understand that! But, I do what I can with them as these machines were never manufactured/built to be around this long either..Newer equipment is also “built on the cheap” so, its really a double edge sword here…… Anyway, I thank you for your long standing support over the past year+ with your drop off video game in shop repairs!

We got Future Spa set-up and running in our upstate New York vacation home without issue. The bad news is that your previous high score has been eclipsed. But all is good. We had no real issues at all. The only concern now is that the machine is in a location where the late afternoon sun is going to beat down on the new paint and begin the fading process again. I researched pinball cover (if you have a recommendation, I will listen) but expect to use a bed sheet or something similar to cover the pin when we are not there.

Play is good; had initial issue with the ball careening between the sides in the chute launching the ball.  Thought it might be because the angle was not steep enough.  However, that issue didn’t present itself as noticeably after a few rounds.  If you know what might cause this, I would be interested.

Overall, very pleased!

I really appreciate you coming by today. The machine is running great! My son and I have been playing head-to-head competition games. I am so glad that the machine did not need much to get it up and running again.

Just a note to express my thanks for the great job you did on my Addams Family machine.  Did you also lower the volume? If so, thanks for that as well, It was needed.  I just played a game and because it had been inoperable for so long, I had forgotten what an incredibly fun game it is!

Great to meet you Eric.  Thanks so much for the tune up, machine plays like new.  Glad you caught the battery thing as well.  You definitely know your stuff with arcade games.

I can’t thank you enough for the work you did on my Ms. Pac-man machine. It has been in my family since the early ’80s and it means a lot to all of the DeLancey’s that it is back and ready for play. I wasn’t sure that I would be able to get the machine fixed, and I called a lot of other companies to see if I could have the machine serviced. They were either not willing to work on the machine, or made it really complicated to figure out how best to handle refurbishing my machine. You were honest, clear, upfront, and open to figuring out a way to make sure that I could get my machine back in action and as close to the original form of the machine as possible. The cost was reasonable and fair when it considered the parts needed and the workload required to find a creative solution to fixing Ms. Pac-Man. My sister and I couldn’t stop playing when we got it in my apartment and plugged it in. I’m going to have a hard time getting work done and staying focused now that its back, but you’ve made a very happy customer!
